CHAMPION VISIONS "indieFILM" Clothing line gets big boost from THE BIG TWENTY

SEATTLE, Wash. May 1, 2001: Champion Visions, the largest distributor of U.S. sports programming to Japan, recently teamed up with independent production company, The Big Twenty, to help market its new indieFILM, "iF" clothing line. The Big Twenty will initially provide content to Champion Visions advertising campaign. This footage will be incorporated into :10, :30, and :60 spots created by Brett Marshall, Creative Director of brettmarshall.tv.

"The Japanese clothing market has really taken off the last two years", says Kelly Dole, President of ChampionVisions. "Japanese kids can't get enough of American clothing; combine that fact with a mutual admiration and love for film, its a sure bet that we will be successful", he adds.

To accomplish his marketing goals, Dole expressed a strong desire to go with a company that understood the independent film scene. "We needed real indie filmmakers to help support the marketing of our new clothing line", states Dole. "I knew The Big Twenty's involvement in independent filmmaking would definitely be an asset to our own marketing and advertising needs".

Dole also found Marshall's experience and creativity as an added boost to Champion Visions promotion of its new clothing line. "I've seen what Brett has done, and I know he was the perfect choice to capture the emotion we want people to feel when they see our ads", says Dole.

If the triumvirate sounds all warm and fuzzy, it's cause it is. Their mutual admiration and support for one another has not gone unnoticed by outsiders. Mark Spangler, an attorney for a venture capitalist group, comments that "It's exciting"! I am now watching Champion Visions, The Big Twenty, and brettmarshall.tv empower one another in taking their respective products to market. Any investor would be proud to see the relationship Dole, Lubetich, and Marshall have created.

Both Lubetich and Dole do find their businesses compliment each other. "Lubetich has got some dynamite footage that Marshall will most definitely exploit", says Dole. He adds, "using that footage will not only help our company, but also help push The Big Twenty's brand and product overseas".

Lubetich echoed Dole's sentiments, stating: Using our films in helping Kelly market his clothing line to a huge Japanese film audience clearly was to the benefit of all parties concerned. As Marshall quips, "It's all about independent talent supporting each other and indieFILM really represents this. I like to think of it as true indie energy at work".

The first spots created, featuring footage from Writer/Director Bill Carleton's cutting edge HDTV feature, dot-CON, will air across Japan with the "iF" clothing line mid-May.

Both Champion Visions and The Big Twenty are Seattle-based companies, founded in '94 and '98 respectively. Champion Visions distributes over 600 sports-related titles worldwide and produces a line of clothing. The Big Twenty is an industry-awarded diverse media company that produces both educational and entertainment-oriented programming. brettmarshall.tv (partnered with CreativeFuse and i.Solve, Inc.) is a creative media consulting and design studio specializing in the creation of dynamic media experiences for TV, film, DVD, and the internet.
